The Project started in September 1989 as the actual Owners bought "Château Wancour" from the Family Pieter Cornilly and Mevrouw Nathalia Fleurbeay - (Daughter Mevrouw Lutgarde-Cornilly-De Wasch) - they built up the house  from scratch about 1908 in the so called "Molenhoek" (Corner of the Windmill)  in Wenduine, West Flanders.

Wenduine is a small coastal town located in the province of West Flanders in Belgium. It is situated on the North Sea coast, about 15 kilometers (9 miles) northwest of the city of Bruges.

Wenduine is since 1886 a popular holiday destination for tourists, especially during the summer months when the beaches are crowded with sunbathers and swimmers. The town also offers a variety of recreational activities such as cycling, hiking, and water sports.

One of the main attractions in Wenduine is the Spioenkop dune, which is the highest dune on the Belgian coast and offers panoramic views of the surrounding area. There are also several parks and nature reserves in the vicinity of Wenduine, including the Uitkerkse Polders, which is a wetland area that is home to many species of birds and other wildlife.
